Job Description
A security guard is an individual that’s responsible for the safeguarding and protection of assets and staff of an establishment. They’re responsible for the monitoring of assigned areas as well as ensuring a safe and tidy work environment
A security guard is expected to have exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, impeccable interpersonal and management skills, exceptional customer service skills, the ability to effectively work under pressure, and be capable of thriving under little or no supervision.
What you’ll be doing?
- Safeguarding and protecting of assets
- Proper monitoring of assigned areas
- Providing detailed reports of any happenings on duty
- Displacing trespassers and violators from the premises
- Addressing concerns and requests of guests
- On-time response to emergency situations as may be required
- Ensure a conducive and tidy work environment
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of high school diploma
- Impeccable interpersonal and management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Capable of working alone and as a member of a team
- Able to effectively work under pressure
- Capable of thriving under little or no supervision
- Must be strong and energetic
- Must be able to carry a load
- Must have previous experience working in such a field
