Job Description
A farm manager is an individual that works on the farm and is responsible for the coordination and management of the daily operation of the farm. They help in the hiring and training of staff for the farm as well as addressing concerns and requests of both staff and customers
A farm manager is expected to have exceptional leadership and management skills, exceptional customer service skills, able to effectively work under pressure, and be capable of thriving under little or no supervision.
What you’ll be doing?
- Coordination and management of the daily operation of the farm
- Hiring and training of staff for the farm
- Addressing concerns and requests of both staff and customers
- Formulating and setting up a work schedule for farm workers
- Ensure that the farm policies and regulations were strictly adhered to by staff
- Coordinate the proper and safe operation of farm machinery and tools
- Source and request for farm supplies as required
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of high school diploma
- Renowned leadership and management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Capable of working alone and as a member of a team
- Able to effectively work under pressure
- Capable of thriving under little or no supervision
- Must be strong and energetic
- Must be able to carry a load
- Must have previous experience working in such a field
