Barcelona ‘will be ready to keep Frenkie de Jong beyond 2023’ if he accepts a pay cut, reports Cadena SER’s Adria Soldevila.
The player ‘has made a pact’ about it with Joan Laporta. Barcelona have agreed to not enter a legal dispute in spite of the previous rumours.
The Dutchman will negotiate over a pay cut at the end of the year. He is currently the team’s highest-paid player with a reported annual net fee of €18m.
The 25-year-old has made 8 appearances for Blaugrana this season, scoring one goal.
