Let’s take a look at how the seven Barcelona players on loan have fared so far this season just before the September international break.
Trincao. The Portuguese has shown tremendous improvement so far and is a key part of the Sporting CP squad. The winger has already scored 3 goals and claimed one assist in just 9 games.
Trincao is one of the highest-rated players at Sporting after Matheus Nunes left (h/t Whoscored)
Nico Gonzalez. Gattuso seems to like the midfielder at Valencia. Nico has featured in all six Valencia games so far scoring once.
Sergino Dest. The American has only played 3 games for Milan, but he’s failed to impress. Italian media strongly criticized his performance in Milan’s 2-1 defeat to Napoli last weekend – he played just 45 minutes.
Dest was the lowest ranked player in Milan’s first defeat in 7 games with a rating of 5 by Whoscored.
Clement Lenglet. The Frenchman is regaining his confidence at Spurs. He’s started 2 and featured in 4 of their last 8 games – that’s despite suffering an injury at the start of the campaign.
Ez Abde. The winger is a bench warmer at Osasuna. He’s only featured in 3 games from their first six and came off the bench on all three occasions. However, he’s still managed to ge on the scoresheet once.
Alex Collado. The Spaniard seems to be an important player for Elche. He’s started all four games he played and also scored once.
Samuel Umtiti. The Frenchman has simply swapped the Barcelona bench for the one at Lecce in Italy. He’s not played any of their last 5 games since he moved there.
Antoine Griezmann. The Frenchman is unlikely to return to Barca at the end of his 2-year loan at Atleti. He’s been impressive so far with 3 goals and 1 assist in 8 games.
Griezmann is Atleti’s best-rated player from the 60th minute mark, per Whoscored:
